Lombadina Indigenous Community are Bardi people, ‘Saltwater People’. The ocean has been pivotal to the Bardi people for many thousands of years as both a source of food and spiritual significance. The Lombadina community now offers visitors a unique opportunity to experience their local and traditional way of life through cultural tours including mud-crabbing, whale watching, kayaking, community tour and fishing charters – the Dampier Peninsula is renowned as one of Western Australia’s best fishing grounds.
